This is our latest project for this year. A 1955 Ford F100 Pick-Up truck.
This project will be done in three or four phases.
Phase one is the front suspension, steering, engine, electronic overdrive transmission, electronic gauges, seats and cab insulation and complete wiring harness and 23-circuit fuse panel. The original engine is being upgraded to a newer FORD 302.
Our pictures show the front end being disassembled, cutting and removing frame parts. The front frame rails are boxed in, installed new front cross member with rack and pinion steering, new tubular control arms and QA1 coil over shocks. Mocked up the proper position and angle of the engine/transmission assembly and fabricated engine mounts and transmission cross member mounts. The original steering column was removed and replaced with a new Flaming River Roadster-style tilt column. The position of the column was relocated through the floor and the dash. Seat mounts were fabricated for new 6-way power bucket seats. The steering column and seats were relocated for a more comfortable area for our customer.
Phase Two will be interior completion.
