This 1929 Pierce Arrow is a family heirloom owned by Steve Sharfeld of Chardon, OH. It is a Model 133 with a straight 8 engine, and one of the finest antique cars we’ve worked on here at Seme & Son. This engine was cast with a single crankcase and cylinder block assembly. It used an L-Head arrangement for valves with a Stromberg carburetor.
The cylinder head on this vehicle was previously welded and had cracked. Painstaking accuracy was taken to replace the casting, as the entire body had just been painted. We also did repairs to the cooling system, fuel system, salvaged a very rare exhaust manifold, and detailed the entire engine in the chassis. Steve may be touring some of the car shows around town, so stop by and say Hello.
Thanks, Steve, for a great experience on a classy motor car!
